ROME INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR represented a forum for the direct exchange of ideas and contacts between collectors, artists, photographers, designers and art professionals, and provided a unique opportunity for artists and exhibitors to present their works to an international audience of art professionals seeking to acquire, publish and encourage the best talents in contemporary art. The exhibition analyzed the body-space relationship and the hybridization between identities and cultural/physical/social/urban contexts in contemporary times, through two main sections: MIXING IDENTITIES and FUTURE LANDSCAPES.

MIXING IDENTITIES analyzed the hidden parts of our identities and their infinite modes of expression, through an immersive experience in the fascinating universe of the labyrinths of our consciousness. FUTURE LANDSCAPES focused primarily on the concept of boundaries and structures between body, mind and soul, human identity and the city, space and ground, transforming surfaces into an open flow of pure ideas.

Among the participating artists, an original contribution to the MIXING IDENTITIES concept was provided by the painter Isabella Bouhon who, inviting observers to immerse themselves in the enchanting realm of color, encouraged them to embrace the energy and let it flow through themself, facilitating personal transformation for a better existence. Indeed the colours used and their intensity, releasing different vibratory energies, offer benefits to both body and mind. Trying to achieve the same positive attitude, Gaal Magdolna‘s paintings capture her experiences and moods. Through remarkable color and light effects, her works range from classical realist portraits to modernist realism, portraying an optimistic vision for the future and reflecting her experiences and dreams.

Inspired by the FUTURE LANDSCAPES that surround us, the surreal sceneries Nora Lebbos paints, reflect their invisible influence on humanity’s condition: her art acts as a catalyst for personal and collective evolution, transcending labels and focusing on expressing liberation and honouring the realm of souls, aiming to awaken human consciousness through her evolving practice. Hailing from Canada, Mira Vujanic, a contemporary artist prioritizes her direct connection with deeper consciousness over technical mastery, finding solidarity with fellow unconventional creatives. Alongside a prolific output of paintings, she grasps fleeting inspirations that evade others: embracing support and authenticity, Mira unlocks her creativity, understanding that the journey starts within herself and leads to true happiness.

The enchanting venue in the heart of Rome added a layer of magic to the overall experience. In this beautiful scenario, the live performance of Magdalena Papanikolopoulou aimed to unveil the genuine selves of its participants by stripping away societal masks. In our daily lives, we often conceal our true identities behind professions, social standings, or financial statuses: by shedding these layers, Papanikolopoulou prompted viewers to confront their authentic nature confronting a fundamental question – who were we without the external trappings that defined us?
