Ready to celebrate design in Reykjavík once again? For the sixteenth year in a row, Reykjavík will transform into one big venue for design from April 24th – 28th. From fashion to furniture, architecture to the environment, food to product design and digital design to innovation, the festival showcases the best local design alongside international names. With over 100 events and exhibitions spread over the capital area for five days, the festival gives a great insight into the thriving design scene.
DesignTalks is the festival´s signature event in Harpa on April 24th. An internationally acclaimed conference and an important platform for inspiration and conversation about the main developments and changes driven by design and architecture – and one of the most fun! DesignMarch provides a unique opportunity for guests and participants to dive into Iceland´s vibrant and energetic creative community. Stay tuned as the festival opens for applications in the fall.

DesignMarch brings together participants and guests with progressive design and innovation. The festival heralds new and surprising approaches and is a vibrant platform for ideas, diverse perspectives and knowledge driving force that enriches and enhances society. DesignMarch gives inspiration and enjoyment with the aim to share the exhibitions, participants and their content to a broader audience, both in Iceland and abroad, in collaboration with other stakeholders, such as Promote Iceland. DesignMarch is a harbinger of optimism and creativity. The festival takes the opportunity to focus on design as a driving force for innovation, and demonstrate the important role of design, architecture and innovation in society, especially during this time of uncertainty the world is facing now.
