Human creativity always spreads all over the world. For thousands of years, we have applied our imagination and inventiveness to shape our landscapes. Cities are leading to a new aesthetic change that aims to rebalance the combination of humans and nature, not only to restore natural systems and ecological integrity but also to deliver beautiful, engaging and remarkable landscape experiences. Today we face many challenges that require a big effort in mixing new frontiers to create new extraordinary places and spaces. We aim to generate future landscapes without mental and physical borders, in which the human being is completely free.
Grabbing everyone’s attention are Iulia Deme’s artworks, a visual diary picturing a character born during the pandemic period, through which the artist escaped from the moment. Both the protagonist and the vibrant colour palette managed to bring hope and a touch of humor thanks to the juvenile-illustrative emotion to the fair. Mo Kamal’s photographic series represents a strong point of the exhibition, by visualizing the idea of mixing new frontiers to create new extraordinary places. The photos present a journey to a remote and timeless part of the world, where the artist keeps in touch with his interiority and different realities.
Miyuki Suto took the exhibition’s theme on a deeper meaning: by freeing the inner self and acknowledging the impulses by painting, she comes deeply in touch with herself and becomes aware of her own life. Since childhood, her insight and intuition have allowed her to create pieces that connect both abstract and material words. The eye-catching artworks of Agnieszka Kopczynska-Kardas combine colors and lights accumulated over the years in the subconscious and over time. The “Color’s Story, Color’s Journey” series is a story about defying awareness of place and stages of life the artist went through, a personal diary where the inventiveness and the essence of creativity mix with personal experience and vulnerability.
An alternative interpretation was made by the French artist Marc Raynaud, whose collage works, on the border of the abstract and the figurative, play with contrasts and shades of soft colors. The creative process of cutting and pasting consists for him of a cathartic moment. In a world overwhelmed by photography and instantaneity, by using this slower technique he seizes the opportunity to shape new landscapes.
