A selection of new work from London-based artist Henry Curchod. Born in Palo Alto, California in 1992, Curchod completed his Bachelor’s degree from the University of New South Wales in 2014. Creating dynamic scenes filled with tension and theatricality, Curchod explores his diverse cultural background of Kurdish-Iranian descent and Western upbringing on both a personal and a global level. His figurative painting practice involves unorthodox perspectives and compositions, illuminating a dreamlike, whimsical, and anecdotic reality. “Rome is no longer in Rome” is currently on display at Clearing in Los Angeles and runs until July 12th.
