“Julanite” by Artist Jarvis Brookfield

A selection of recent work by UK-based artist Jarvis Brookfield. Part of his latest solo exhibition in London last September, “Julanite” is a series of inventive paintings that encapsulate Brookfield’s admiration and celebration of the inner landscapes of the mind:

“My perception of the imagination diverges from the conventional and exclusive notion tied to fantasy or creative problem-solving. Throughout the creation of this new body of work, I drew much inspiration from an enlightening essay written by Henry Corbin, titled ‘The Mundus Imaginalis.’ Corbin’s insights offered me a deeper understanding, shedding light on the possible origins of the ineffable visions that arise under the influence of entheogens.”
