D*Face has painted “Love, Fast,” a 2026 mural in Madrid’s Carabanchel district. The title holds the tension at the heart of the work: “Speed makes time disappear, whilst nostalgia tries to preserve it,” the artist writes. Love is set against the rush of time and the wish to hold on to what has passed.
The mural adds a new work to a district where painting has become part of the street-level experience. Madrid’s municipal art route through Carabanchel includes murals and graffiti along Calle del General Ricardos, though the city has not identified “Love, Fast” as part of that route. (madrid.es)
D*Face thanks Fer, Saïd, local residents and his team, Boots and Max, for helping make the mural possible. He also points to two episodes about Madrid on his YouTube channel for a longer look at the project.
