Growing up in a small town in the mountains of Costa Rica, artist Aire Calderón took her first art class with a local artist and has been painting ever since. Populated by imagery drawn from her personal experiences, from tarot archetypes to nature, Calderón’s figurative paintings explore the human experience, giving new meaning to the objects and people she portrays. She currently lives and works in San José, Costa Rica.
