JahOne has painted “Balance” on a facade at Post City Linz, the former postal logistics complex beside the city’s main railway station. At the centre of the mural stands a woman holding a wind turbine shaped like a sun. The work was made for “Addressing Tomorrow,” a project by Calle Libre and Austrian Post that brought large-scale murals to the site. (callelibre.at)
The turbine’s patterned form draws on traditional embroidery, as does a flower in the woman’s hair. Behind her, two symmetrical triangles overlap, and the word “Balance” is worked into the composition. JahOne describes the flower as a symbol of life on Earth and the sun-shaped turbine as a reference to renewable energy. For the Bulgarian artist, the woman is someone conscious that her choices and actions help shape the future. (callelibre.at)
“The balance of the world begins within each individual,” JahOne says of the work. It is an idea he develops through the meeting of forms and symbols rather than a single emblem: a human figure, an energy source, a flower and a geometric structure held together on the wall. (callelibre.at)
JahOne painted the mural in September 2026 as part of Calle Libre’s first Linz festival edition, curated by Jakob Kattner. The festival took place at Post City on September 18 and 19. The murals form part of a temporary artistic use of the site ahead of its planned redevelopment. (callelibre.at)
