A selection of recent work from illustrator and painter Nicholas Moegly. Moegly is from the Midwest and specializes in creating moody, dark, and nostalgic imagery that plays with light and shadows. His work typically takes place where he grew up—a small, modest town “where pockets that have been forgotten litter the area”:
“As I process feelings of getting older, shared societal experiences, and constant learning, I often view them in a fable-like narrative through the filtered lens of small town America.”
