“Beach Path in Autumn” acrylic, 11″ x 14″

My paintings are a personal expression of reverence for the natural world. I aim to capture moments of beauty in nature where everything feels connected and I feel a profound gratitude for being part of it all.

“Changing Tides” acrylic, 30″ x 30″

My journey as a professional artist began in an unexpected and personal way—painting a mural for my first child’s nursery. It reignited the childhood love of creating art that I had set aside for most of my young adult life. For the next ten years I did a lot of painting while my babies napped!

“Memory Lane” acrylic, 24″ x 36″

As my family grew, so did my artistic practice, evolving into a dedicated pursuit of fine art. I studied at the Silvermine School of Art, the Rowayton Art Center and with artists Joseph Fama and Cat Tesla.

“Lavender Haze” acrylic, 12″ x 12″

I create landscape and nature-inspired abstract paintings, working primarily with acrylic paint on canvas or wood panel, occasionally incorporating mixed media and collage. I enjoy exploring the tactile qualities of paint and manipulating it to create surfaces that engage the viewer both up close and from a distance. I’m a keen observer of the natural world, drawn equally to its sweeping vistas and its quiet details.

“Tidal Marsh in Fall” acrylic, 16″ x 20″

I am constantly photographing everything from sunsets to the patterns in the sand, but the best reference is getting outside and painting on location. Small color studies done on location help create larger paintings back in my studio.

“Fall Glory” acrylic, 8″ x 10″

The New England coast, where I grew up and still live and work, features prominently in my work. It continues to shape my artistic vision. Nature is my constant muse. Its rhythms, colors, and forms never cease to inspire and guide my creativity. The changing seasons and fleeting moments of light transform familiar landscapes into something entirely new, drawing me back to the same places again and again.

“Quiet Harbor” acrylic, 10″ x 8″

Light is a constant thread running through my work. I am fascinated by the way it dances across the surface of water, flickers along shaded woodland paths, and shifts, sometimes subtly and sometimes boldly, from morning to evening. Striving to capture the effects of light in paint keeps my art practice grounded in exploration and curiosity.

“Beach Path” acrylic, 16″ x 20″

I paint these moments in nature to process and reflect on my own experiences, and to offer others a visual experience that evokes peace, joy, and a deepened sense of connection to the natural world. My creative journey has led me to a deeper understanding of myself and my connection to the world around me.
