“Morning in Tennessee” oil, 20″ x 16″

I am a full time artist living in Tennessee. Creating beauty has always been what I aspire to do.

“On the Lookout” oil, 24″ x 18″

I was born in Colorado Springs during the war in 1944. My family moved to the South, where I grew up painting all the animals I loved. When my husband was at the Air Force Academy I lived in Colorado Springs. I painted God’s beauty in the Teton Mountains and Yellowstone National Park. The wildlife there was fascinating also.

“Radnor Sparkle” oil, 40″ x 30″

I majored in art in college and got a bachelor’s degree in art at Watkins College of Art and Design in Nashville. After taking many workshops from major artists I started being accepted in juried shows.

“Feathered Friends” oil, 36″ x 30″

In 2024, I received a request from the editor of The Saturday Evening Post in Indianapolis, Indiana. They wanted to use one of my paintings, The Colors of Winter, in their holiday edition. I thought it was a scam at first, but with further investigations my family and I concluded it was legit.

“Colors of Winter” oil, 24″ x 20″

They not only wanted to use my painting, but they wanted to use it on their cover! What an honor to be on the cover of the same magazine that frequently featured Norman Rockwell. I even have an old issue from 1963 that my mother saved with a Norman Rockwell painting of JFK.

“My Sheep” oil on canvas, 24″ x 20″

In the painting of My Sheep, I reference John 10:27, weaving text into the painting to underscore the theme of Jesus’ divine care of the ones who hear His name and recognize His voice. Many other sheep don’t, and are lost.

“Psalm One” oil, 24″ x 20″

In the waterfall painting, I demonstrate a passage in Psalms 1:3 about a tree that is planted beside the rivers of water being like a person who meditates God’s word day and night… His leaf shall not wither and everything he does shall prosper.
