I am a painter devoted to positive transformation. Working primarily in oils and acrylics, my pieces explore topics of resilience, femininity, perception of self and others, and the quiet strength required to begin again. My paintings live somewhere in the space between imaginative realism and abstraction. I allow my meditative internal dialogue to shine through via layered symbolism, where the finished piece becomes a woven story for both reflection, renewal and encouragement.

My practice began in 2023 as a daily commitment to create during a time when life felt fractured and uncertain. What started as a deal with my therapist to do at least fifteen minutes of painting each day became a ritual of reclamation; to regain autonomy, to rebuild trust in my own instincts and rediscover joy through creative play that I hadn’t felt in over a decade. I have maintained that daily practice ever since. Over time, painting has evolved into a disciplined studio practice grounded in intention, research and meaning-making.

Much of my work centers around the idea of blooming despite being buried. In my Ladies in Bloom series, women emerge through a variety of florals and other organic forms picked for their symbolism, to create stories that embody both vulnerability and power.

These paintings speak to the courage it takes to grow after hardship and the grace required to offer oneself compassion in the process of healing. While rooted in lived experience, my work is not about one single story. It is about the universal capacity to flourish even after seasons of darkness.

Other bodies of work explore significance, reflection and the topic of perception. In my Bejeweled series, intricately rendered beetles become meditations about finding worth and self-regard.

Others, like my Brain Cake series, have dream-informed imagery that transform abstract internal questions and words into tangible forms. Across all of my series, symbolism functions as a layered language that invites viewers to slow down, look closely and discover meaning that hopefully resonates with their own lived experiences.

My process is deliberate. I research visual metaphors, study historical symbolism and carefully design compositions before beginning each painting. Real-life references, constructed setups and photographic studies support the realism within my work, while intuitive mark-making and subtle abstraction create space for ambiguity. I often incorporate interference acrylics into my work, allowing elements of the pieces to shift in color as the viewer moves. This quiet transformation reinforces a central belief within my practice: perspective changes everything.

At its core, my work is meant to uplift. Not in a simplistic or decorative sense, but rather in a way that honors the complexity of human experience while still pointing towards growth. I want my paintings to feel like visual affirmations and reminders that healing is nonlinear. Strength can coexist with softness, and self-love is an act of courage in the face of self-abandonment.

Through symbolism, structure and imagination, I create work that encourages viewers to extend grace toward themselves and trust in their own capacity to thrive and evolve.
