“Above the Clouds” melted and rolled argentium silver offcuts, hand sawn, pierced, hammered, burr textured and fused argentium silver, bezel set plume agate doublet, hummingbird and flower on reverse side, 2.75” x 2.25”
My work comes from a lifelong habit of paying attention—especially to birds, nature, and how things are put together. I didn’t take a straight path to jewelry. After studying philosophy and wandering through more than a few creative detours, I eventually landed at the jeweler’s bench and thought, Oh. This is it!
“Raven Feather/Wolf” reversible, melted, rolled and burr textured scrap argentium silver, hand sawn, pierced, fused and soldered argentium silver, 20mm x 12mm bezel set lepidocrocite, patina, 2.5″ x 3”
I’m largely self-taught, with a mix of in-person workshops and online classes along the way—enough structure to keep me honest and plenty of room to experiment. I work primarily in argentium silver, often paired with titanium, copper, brass, and gemstones.

Layering and piercing are central to my process. I’m often asked if I use a laser cutter in my work. Happily, everything is sawn and pierced by hand.
“Midnight Slumber” melted and rolled scrap argentium silver offcuts, hand sawn, pierced, burr textured and fused 22 gauge argentium silver and 14k gold filled brass sheet. Bezel set faceted blue sapphire. Large hand sawn and fused argentium silver feather on the reverse, 3.25” x 2”
Most of my pendants are double-sided and often fully reversible. There is a hidden bird, an unexpected texture, a quiet detail meant just for the wearer, small moments designed to live close to the heart. I like options—and jewelry should feel a little interactive.
“Blackbird in the Reeds/Birds on a Fence” hand sawn, pierced, rolled, fused, soldered, riveted and textured argentium silver, bezel set faceted dark blue labradorite, hand pierced and textured argentium silver birds on a fence riveted to reverse side, 2.5” x 3”
Some of my pieces tend to behave like small, wearable shadowboxes while others are layered flat adornment. Birds frequently show up as main characters, inspired by years of hiking, birding and looking up instead of down. Whimsy is welcome at my workbench and surprises are encouraged.
“A Day in the Forest” multiple layers of hand pierced, sawn, fused, burr/hammer textured argentium silver, bezel set 6mm citrine, patina, hand pierced and riveted argentium silver moose in the mountains on reverse side, 2” diameter
From my studio I make pendants and brooches meant to be touched, flipped over and lived with. My jewelry rewards curiosity and slow discovery. Teaching learned skills to aspiring and advanced makers in weeklong workshops allows me to share my love of what I do while students go home with multiple finished pieces they are proud to wear.
“Raven Berry” melted and rolled scrap argentium silver offcuts, hand sawn, burr textured and fused 24 gauge argentium silver, 7 bezel set 4mm carnelian cabochons, hand sawn feather and swallows on reverse, 3” x 2.75”
I aspire to be a master silversmith someday, fully aware that “someday” is doing a lot of work here and now. BM Charmed is a collection of whimsy, handcrafted with joy.
