“Sailing in the Sun” mixed media on board with resin, 47″ x 47″
I am a mixed media artist living and working in Sarasota, Florida, where light, water, and lush subtropical surroundings shape my visual language. I grew up in Germany and later lived in Paris before settling in the United States.
“Memories of Egypt” mixed media on board with resin, 47″ x 47″
I’ve always loved to travel and experience other cultures and different approaches to art. Those early experiences—moving between cultures, landscapes, and architectural environments—continue to influence how I see space, structure, and rhythm in my work.
“Confluence” mixed media on board with resin, 55″ x 30″
Nature is my primary source of inspiration, though I don’t approach it literally. Instead, I’m drawn to fragments: shifting light on water, weathered surfaces, coastal architecture, and the way organic and built environments intersect.
“Gilded Fragments 2″ mixed media on board with resin, 12″ x 12”
Florida’s intense color palette—saturated blues, greens, and flashes of gold—feeds directly into my practice. These elements become abstracted, layered, and reimagined rather than represented, allowing each piece to exist somewhere between memory and sensation.

My process is intuitive and layered. I work primarily with collage, inks, acrylics, gold leaf, and resin on wood panels. Each piece develops over time through a sequence of building, editing, and responding to what emerges on the surface. Some areas are deliberately structured, while others are allowed to flow freely. The resin acts as both a unifying and transformative element, enhancing depth, luminosity, and surface tension.
“La Florida” mixed media on board with resin, 30″ x 60″
I’m interested in the balance between control and chance, letting materials speak while guiding the composition toward clarity and cohesion.

Ultimately, my goal is to create work that invites viewers to slow down and engage on a sensory level. I want the surfaces to reveal themselves gradually, offering moments of calm, curiosity, and quiet energy. Rather than telling a fixed story, my pieces are meant to be open spaces where viewers can bring their own associations and interpretations.

My work has been exhibited in solo and group shows throughout Florida and beyond, and is held in private collections in the United States, Canada, and Germany. At its core, my practice is about exploration—of materials, perception, and the emotional resonance that abstraction can offer.
