“Where the Pattern Flows” pyrography, color, metal leaf. 25″ x 14″
I am an interdisciplinary artist based in Austin, Texas, creating work that invites the harmony of nature’s blueprint into interior spaces. My practice is rooted in wood, fire, stone, and mixed media, and it is shaped by a lifelong dialogue between art, yoga, sound, and entrepreneurship. I do not separate these disciplines. They inform one another and converge in the studio.
“Metamorphosis” mesquite, pyrography, 26″ x 30″
Much of my work begins with reclaimed or locally sourced wood. I am drawn to its grain, scars, density, and history. Burning into the surface with fire, layering pigment, embedding stone or natural elements, and sealing with resin allows me to collaborate with the material rather than dominate it.
“Ryan’s Cookies” aspen, glass, resin, 36″ x 24″
The process is physical and meditative. I work slowly, listening to what the piece asks for. Geometry, repetition, and pattern often emerge as a way of honoring what I see as nature’s inherent order.
“Twilight” walnut, resin, color, 32″ x 24″
My background in yoga and somatic practice shapes how I approach creation. I am attentive to breath, rhythm, and state of being while I work. I incorporate sound, intention, and ritual elements into my studio process, not as performance, but as alignment.
“The Collective Current” resin, pyrography, Texas mesquite, 50″ x 22″
For me, art carries energy. The state in which I create becomes part of the finished piece. My goal is to transmit coherence, steadiness, and joy into the environments where the work lives.
“All Singing, All Dancing” pyrography, shells, ink, 47″ x 29″
Exhibiting in Austin has reinforced my belief that people are excited for work that feels grounded and alive. Viewers often respond first to the tactile quality of the wood and then to something less tangible: a sense of calm, resonance, or recognition. I am interested in creating art that is both visually compelling and experientially felt.
“Emberwing” pyrography, color, metal leaf, 33″ x 28″
My larger aim is to build a body of work that bridges aesthetics and atmosphere. I want my pieces to function not only as objects on a wall, but as anchors within a space.
“Naga” mesquite, prypgraphy, colors, 36″ x 22″
Through material integrity, intentional process, and a reverence for nature’s design, I continue to explore how art can contribute to environments that feel balanced, expansive, and deeply human.
