INO has completed “Fly Away,” an acrylic mural painted on the wall of a 23-story building in Houston, Texas.
The work takes its scale directly from its setting: a high-rise surface that carries the title across the city’s vertical architecture. INO describes the mural simply as “Fly Away,” without expanding on a narrative or symbolic reading.
Street Art for Mankind curated and produced the Houston project. The organisation is behind Big Art. Bigger Change, its ongoing Downtown Houston mural initiative, which brings international and local artists to large-scale walls across the city.
Based in Athens, INO is known for large-format figurative public works. Here, the artist’s newest Houston intervention joins a cityscape already shaped by ambitious mural commissions while retaining the directness of a title that suggests motion, distance and release.
